The Palestinian Authority’s Inconvenient Truths

January 25, 2013

by Khaled Abu Toameh  January 3, 2013 at 5:00 am Western journalists, funders and decision-makers need to know that there are many truths being hidden from their eyes and ears. The truth sometimes hurts; that is why the Palestinian Authority has been working hard to prevent the outside world from hearing about many occurrences that reflect negatively on its leaders or people. In recent years, the Palestinian Authority leadership, often with the help of the mainstream media in the US and EU, has been successful in its effort to divert all attention only toward Israel. Following are examples of some of the inconvenient truths that the Palestinian leadership in the West Bank do not want others to know about: - Over 100 senior PLO and Fatah officials hold Israeli-issued VIP cards that grant them various privileges denied to most Palestinians. Among these privileges is the freedom to enter Israel and travel abroad at any time they wish. This privileging…

The War Rages, The White House Ducks, Death Abounds

January 25, 2013

by Michael Ledeen January 15th, 2013 – 6:35 pm You know all this, of course, because you’ve been reading these blogs all along.  But as my mother used to tell me with her charming smile and melodious voice, repetition is the basis of all learning. It is no doubt true, as so many wonks intone over and over, that we are targeted by lots of “non-state actors.”  But those “actors,” gangs like al Qaeda, Hezbolah, Islamic Jihad, and Jammaah this-or-that, are state-supported. My old boss, Alexander Haig, used to growl, “we have to go to the source,” by which he meant the Soviet Union.  And whenever he said it, there were pious cries of “but NO!”  from the usual quarters, such as Foggy Bottom and Langley-on-the-Potomac.  They insisted that we did not “know” that the Kremlin was in any way “behind” terrorist groups, and when it was pointed out that the PLO actually trained IN the Soviet Union, they…

Egyptian magazine boasts that Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated Obama Administration

January 10, 2013

by John Rossomando  •  Jan 3, 2013 at 1:10 pm An Egyptian magazine claims that six American Islamist activists who work with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who enjoy strong influence over U.S. policy. The Dec. 22 story published in Egypt’s Rose El-Youssef magazine (read an IPT translation here) suggests the six turned the White House “from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.” The story is largely unsourced, but its publication is considered significant in raising the issue to Egyptian readers. The six named people include: Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development; Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America…

FrontPage’s Men of the Year: The Three Men Who Gave Their Lives in Benghazi

Posted By Daniel Greenfield On December 27, 2012 In FrontPageMag.com In every war there are those we leave behind; buried in graves in the green fields or falling as ashes scattered on the desert floor. When soldiers die in war, they are honored and remembered, but when they die in a war that is not a war, then there is nothing to remember. All that remains is the cover-up. There are many inevitable things in this world. The sun must rise, a weight must displace water and Time Magazine must give Obama his second Person of the Year cover. The watchdog poodles of the press can never find enough honors to drape around the neck of their skinny Caesar fresh from his glorious cover-ups on the fields of deceit. Obama went on the cover and the dead of Benghazi went into the great white grave between the lines of print, the space where all the untold and unread…
